you can see the mic jack on the bottom of the ear cup!! Nice and clean!!

the panel mic jack fits perfectly in the space inside the cap, and the plastic is just thick enough so the mic jack fits almost flush. i didn't have to put my name on my headset tho, it's the only one with the jack!!

this is the cap that comes off when you switch the mic to the other side, just two small phillips screws. i then drilled a hole for the panel mic plug. you can see it with green shrink wrap around it.

this was the hard part, to drill thru without damaging anything, make sure there is nothing on the other side and pick a size bit that makes a tight fit with the wire.

this comes out easily, just pull from the bottom with your fingers. (gently)

this was a fairly easy step, just pull the ear pad off and then the screen. it's a little harder to put back.

you can see the wire from the mic going up to the top of the earpiece (actually the bottom), i just drilled a small hole in the headset and pushed the wire thru (you have to cut it to wire the plug anyway).

as you can see, the mic just lays inside the headset, the foam from the screen holds it in place. you never know it's there.

i found that the amplified mic worked better. also found that the higher end digital recorders have a setting to limit the incoming sound level, this worked much better.

this is the battery pack and on/off switch, the plug on the right with the heat shrink is the one i added.

this was an easy upgrade, i just pulled the mic out and soldered the jack to the two wires from the mic... works perfectly.

I took this digital video camera apart and soldered this jack to the mic wires inside the camera.. this way i can record the audio from my headset.
